Purple Bike

This is the largest painting I've ever done (4 foot square) and I must say I love working at this scale. My professor said I danced as I painted it. I just have this thing for bikes. Perhaps it's because they are a combination of technical drawings and an embodiment of childhood memories. I like how this one feels like it was rapidly discarded for something more exciting. Now alone, it's only a castaway from "better days".
