"10 things I hate about you"

I have been working on my movie title assignment for my Intro to Graphic design class and now are in the computer stages! Before we worked on tracing paper--it's pretty old school legit. So we can control the letter shape, spacing ect. It was a pretty humbling experience. Computers speed so much up! It took me four hours to do 20 tracings--what I could do in 20 minutes on the computer.

Here is the original film title to Ten Things I Hate About You, a movie my sister and I quote at nausea. Rent it if you want a blast from the past teenage romantic comedy from the 90's based on Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew. Even though this was my favorite movie in high school, the title image didn't stick with me (and I'm a visual person). So I decided to do it over my way.

Here are some of the beginning experiments with type on the computer.

And here is a close up of the next stage with a blown up "10". This project will eventually become a movie poster. Here are some of my initial ideas using binder paper and brown bags (remember covering your text books with it?)

***Just a reminder, these images (with the exception of the first one) are property of Jacqueline Stark and are NOT for any use including personal (ie printing them out and putting them up in your room or selling them on ebay). PS I found out how to fix my images (they were in CYMK color, used for printing, and not RGB) so now I can upload ones, like my graduation invitation, so you can see it!

I know you can be overwhelmed and you can be underwhelmed, but can you ever just be whelmed?
I think you can in Europe (I am doing research into this on location in Denmark)
